Mehrnush S. Safavi, the Iranian artist, feminist, and activist, born in 1980, is a passionate advocate for equality and fundamental human rights. Graduating from the University of Art Tehran in 2002, she found her creative voice in hand embroidery. Her exhibitions, both solo and collaborative, showcased her remarkable talent until a turning point in 2020.

In her unwavering pursuit of these values, Mehrnush faced adversity when she was arrested by the Islamic Republic. The regime confiscated and destroyed 97 of her precious artworks. However, her story is a beacon of resilience and hope, a testament to the enduring power of art and activism in the name of justice and human rights.
